World Censorship Scheme – Take Action NOW

I

f you love and trust GOOGLE, you have misplaced loyalty & the love affair is one sided. GOGGLE is not your friend and neither is YouTube. We are all noticing our view counts going backwards, our Facebook shares are either not being allowed, or throttled so far back it seem no one is seeing them at all.

Here is the new Scoop on what GOOGLE is allowing on your behalf.

We’ve become aware of leaked documents revealing a new plan to attack your ability to access online content and services of your choice, and even your online privacy.2 – (EU Commission’s patchy and timid plans fall far short of breaking down national borders online. Source: Julia Reda.)

The OpenMedia team has put together a special action platform to ‘Save The Link’ and we need you to add your voice now.

We must, and we all will, continue to fight back against against reckless Bill C-51 – but we must also stand together against other impending threats to our privacy and free expression: both in Canada and around the world.

This is the rub: The leaked documents show that decision-makers plan to force websites to monitor your activity.

The scheme would also give old media conglomerates the power to censor and block links3(Why Internet Users Everywhere Should be Watching The EU Right Now. Source. )the basic building blocks of the Web.

This scheme is being hatched in the EU, but as the Web is global it will impact Internet users everywhere. Officials here in Canada have already ordered Google to delete content from search results!4(Canadian Court to the Entire World: No Links For You! Source: EFF.)

Please, help us put a stop to this censorship before it goes any further.

To push back against this threat to our digital and democratic rights we must grow a huge network of people and organizations committed to stopping censorship plans wherever they emerge.

Join tens of thousands of Internet users from around the world who have said enough is enough: we have a right to link.

Why should you care? Well, the World Wide Web you and I browse everyday is really just a series of links.

The link is what powers many of our favorite online services, and what enables us to stay connected with friends and family from around the world.

Now, powerful interests are targeting the European Union to upload content censoring rules for Internet users around the world.5(Spanish Copyright Amendments Will Shakedown News Sites and Censor the Web. Source: EFF.)

What’s stopping them? You are. Sign on to Save the Link now.

For your right to link,

You think this is just happening in Communist Vietnam. This story was featured in 2013, yet in less than two years we have progressed to be limited in the same manner NOW!  All of this is happening right now, right here in our countries.

Notice there is no coverage of this on our own news outlets.
